At a glance
Day in Ink: Habit Tracker is an iPhone app developed by droessmj. It works without an account. Your habit data is stored on your device and is not sent to the developer. The app has no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs.
Information stored on your iPhone
The app stores your habit names, emoji, colors, tracking settings, daily defaults, goals, units, creation dates, archive status, and dated check-ins and progress. Recorded days can include the tracking type, goal, and unit that applied at the time.
This information is used to display your habits, calculate progress and trends, and restore your records when you reopen the app. It is not sold or shared with advertising or analytics services.
Device backups and exported files
App data may be included in device backups according to your device and Apple account settings. Those backups are managed through Apple’s controls and services.
You can export a JSON backup and import one using Files. Exported files contain your habit names, settings, and recorded history. Day in Ink does not encrypt exported files. The storage provider you choose may store or sync them under its own settings and privacy policy.
Importing replaces your current habits and history after confirmation. Deleting information in the app does not delete exported copies or earlier device backups.
Retention and deletion
Your habits and check-ins remain in app storage until you delete them. Archiving a habit keeps its history. Permanently deleting a habit removes it and its check-ins from current app storage.
Using Delete App removes local app storage; offloading the app preserves its data. Manage device backups and exported files separately. The developer cannot access or delete habit data stored only on your device or in your own backups.
When you contact support
Issues and feature requests are handled in the app repository on GitHub. GitHub processes your account information and anything you submit under its own privacy policy. In a public repository, issues and comments are public: your username, message, and attachments can be read by others. Do not post private habit records, real texts, verification codes, or phone numbers.
If you email instead, the developer receives your email address and the information you choose to include. This is used to answer your request, troubleshoot issues, and handle follow-up correspondence. Email is processed by the email providers involved in delivery and storage.
Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve your request and maintain relevant correspondence, or as required by law. You can use the contact below to ask about or request deletion of information you sent to support. Please do not send private habit records, real message contents, verification codes, or phone numbers unless necessary and discussed first.
